What are your kids up to? |

Good Afternoon,
We have recently received reports of children playing in, on and around bin sheds on Lune Street/Derby Road, and Mainway. With the weather being as nice as it is, it is always great to see your children out enjoying the sun however they need to remain safe! We have been told that children have been seen to climb onto the roofs of these bin sheds which is not a safe activity to partake in as the roofs aren't designed to hold people climbing on them. As well as this, it is a lasting issue of drug paraphernalia, broken glass, and other dangerous objects to be found in and around these sheds. I have previously reported this to Love Clean Streets which is an excellent tool to have things like this cleaned up in a timely manner, the link to this will be accessible below. Although these sheds are normally secure, it has been known for some to break into them whether that's by snapping a lock, or ripping away boarding. If you see children doing any of the activities above, please offer them some friendly advice, and speak to your children about the risks of playing out in such areas to ensure they remain safe and have a nice time.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and enjoy the sun while it lasts!
